Beginner
Foundation Programme
A thorough grounding in technique, notation, and musicality. Suitable for complete beginners of all ages — children from age 5 and adults returning to the instrument.
Posture, hand position, scales, arpeggios, sight-reading, and a carefully chosen repertoire that builds confidence alongside skill.
Intermediate
Development Programme
For students who have mastered the fundamentals and are ready to explore the full breadth of the piano repertoire. ABRSM Grades 3–6 and equivalent.
Expanded technique, harmonic understanding, stylistic interpretation, and preparation for examinations and recitals.
Advanced
Mastery Programme
Concert-level preparation for the most committed students. ABRSM Grades 7–8, Diploma, and beyond. Suitable for those pursuing music professionally.
Advanced repertoire, performance practice, competition preparation, and university or conservatoire audition coaching.

- Where is the school located?
- RaKumaNinoff Piano School is at 142 Edgware Road, London W2 2DZ — just moments from Edgware Road Underground station, making it easily accessible from across London.
- How much do lessons cost?
- Lessons start from £60 for a 30-minute beginner session. A 45-minute standard lesson is £90, a 60-minute advanced lesson is £115, and a term package of 10 × 60-minute lessons is £1,150. A free 30-minute initial consultation is offered to all new students.
- Who teaches at RaKumaNinoff Piano School?
- All lessons are taught by Sohyun Park — a graduate of Chetham's School of Music and the Royal College of Music (MMus Performance, Distinction). Sohyun has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and internationally, and is currently a professor at a prestigious Russian Music School in London.
- Do you prepare students for ABRSM exams?
- Yes. We prepare students for ABRSM graded examinations from Grade 1 through to Grade 8 and Diploma level. The vast majority of our students achieve Distinction, and many go on to enter junior departments at London conservatoires.
- Do you accept complete beginners?
- Absolutely. We welcome complete beginners of all ages — from young children to adults returning to the piano. Our Foundation Programme is designed specifically for those with no prior experience.
- Is there a trial lesson?
- Yes. We offer a free 30-minute initial consultation for all prospective students. This gives you the chance to meet Sohyun, discuss your goals, and find the right programme before committing.
